Alex Ovechkin Autographs
Alex Ovechkin, born September 17, 1985, is a Russian professional ice hockey player who is currently serving as the captain of the Washington Capitals. Ovechkin's journey in hockey began at the young age of two, where he would start to skate on the outdoor rink in his hometown of Moscow. His passion for the sport grew as he quickly became one of the top players in the area.
In 2004, Ovechkin was drafted first overall in the NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals. It wasn't long before he proved himself to be one of the NHL's elite players. In his rookie season, Ovechkin scored an impressive 52 goals, with 54 assists, paving the way for his future success in the league. Ovechkin has since won numerous accolades, including the prestigious Hart Memorial Trophy three times and the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy an impressive nine times. With 1,296 points in 1,141 career NHL games, Ovechkin's career is considered one of the best in the sport's history.
Off the ice, Ovechkin is known for his charitable work, including his establishment of the "Ovechkin's Crazy 8's" program, which donates Capitals game tickets to local children's hospitals.
