Jeff Carter is a retired Canadian hockey player who was born on January 1st, 1985 in London, Ontario. Carter began his hockey journey playing for the London Junior Knights, and later, he was selected in the first round by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the 2001 OHL draft. Jeff Carter turned professional in 2005 when the Philadelphia Flyers selected him in the first round of the NHL draft, and that's when his NHL career was kick-started. More about Jeff Carter

Throughout his career, Jeff Carter established himself as an elite player and a natural goal scorer. He spent 16 seasons in the NHL, playing for the Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Los Angeles Kings, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He amassed 421 goals and 383 assists for 804 points in 1,080 career NHL games. Jeff Carter has been one of the top players in the league as evidenced by his numerous accomplishments including winning two Stanley Cup titles with the LA Kings in 2012 and 2014. In addition, he was selected to play in four NHL All-Star games and represented Canada on the international stage, winning two Olympic gold medals in 2010 and 2014.

Despite his spectacular career, Jeff Carter decided to call it quits on his playing career in 2021. A series of injuries ultimately forced him to retire as he could no longer meet the physical and mental demands of playing professional hockey. Nonetheless, his remarkable contributions to the sport of hockey, his unique style of play, and his ability to put the puck in the back of the net will forever be remembered.
