Sundin played 18 seasons in the NHL, mostly with the Toronto Maple Leafs. During his time with the Leafs, he was the team captain for 11 seasons, breaking the record for the longest serving captain in Maple Leafs history. Sundin achieved several milestones during his career including scoring 564 goals, earning 785 assists and amassing a total of 1349 points. He also represented Sweden in several international competitions, including the Olympics, and led his team to a gold medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

After retiring from hockey in 2009, Sundin’s contributions to the sport were recognized when he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. Today, Sundin is still known for his exceptional skills on the ice and his leadership abilities, which helped him to become one of the best players in the game's history.
