Chris Tillman Autographs
Chris Tillman is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played for the Baltimore Orioles from 2009 to 2018. He was born on April 15, 1988, in Anaheim, California, and attended Fountain Valley High School. Tillman was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the second round of the 2006 MLB draft and later traded to Baltimore in 2008.
Tillman made his MLB debut with the Orioles in 2009 and quickly established himself as a reliable starting pitcher. He had his breakout year in 2012, where he became the ace of the Orioles pitching staff, posting a 16-7 record with a 3.71 ERA. Tillman continued to pitch well for the Orioles over the next few years and was a key contributor in their playoff runs in 2012, 2014, and 2016. In his career, he had a record of 74-60 in 203 games, with an ERA of 4.65 and 843 strikeouts.
However, Tillman's career was plagued by injuries, and he struggled with consistency in his later years. He became a free agent after the 2018 season and attempted comebacks with the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees but was never able to return to his previous form. Tillman retired from baseball in July 2020 after a ten-year career in the MLB. Though his career had its ups and downs, Tillman will be remembered as a key part of the Orioles' successful years and a talented pitcher with great potential.
