Alexander Semin Autographs

Alexander Semin is a former professional ice hockey player born on March 3, 1984, in Russia. Semin started his professional playing career in Russia with Lada Togliatti in the Russian Superleague before being drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Alexander quickly made an impact in the NHL, winning the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2003 as rookie of the year.
Semin played most of his NHL career with the Washington Capitals, where he established himself as a talented forward with excellent scoring abilities. During his 10 years with the team, Semin amassed a total of 408 points, including a career-best season in 2009/10, where he scored 40 goals and 84 points. After spending one season with the Carolina Hurricanes, Semin returned to the KHL, where he played for several teams, including Metallurg Magnitogorsk, who he won the championship with in 2016.
Despite being an extremely talented player, Semin has been known for his inconsistency and lack of work ethic at times, which hindered his progression and impacted his ability to achieve his full potential. Despite this, his impressive stats and scoring ability make him a memorable player in the world of ice hockey. After several successful seasons in the NHL and KHL, Semin announced his retirement from professional hockey in 2019, at the age of 35, ending his career with a total of 661 points in 650 games across various leagues.
