Infante made his Major League debut with the Tigers in 2002, playing in 27 games as a utility infielder. He went on to have a successful career, playing for various teams including the Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins, and Kansas City Royals. He was known for his versatility, playing multiple infield positions as well as the outfield. In 2010, Infante had a breakout season with the Braves, hitting .321 with 8 home runs and 47 RBIs. He was also a key player in the Royals' 2014 World Series championship, hitting .318 in postseason play.

Aside from his versatility on the field, Infante was also known for his work ethic and professionalism. He was respected by his teammates and coaches for always giving his best effort, both in games and in practice. After 16 years in the Major Leagues, Infante retired in 2018 with a career batting average of .271, 74 home runs, and 421 RBIs.
